KTIS Group, originally known as Thai Identity Sugar Group, was founded by Mr. Jaroon and Mrs. Hathai Siriviriyakul since 1957. Beginning as a sugar distributor, the group has later become a sugar manufacturer. From its first inception, KTIS group has grown significantly, leading to a fully integrated business, that consists of three sugar mills, a paper pulp mill, an ethanol factory and a biomass power plant, all produced by the parent company Kaset Thai Sugar Industry Co., Ltd.

In 1967,
Ruampol Factory with a capacity of 2,000 sugarcane tons per day was purchased.

In 1976,
Ruampol Factory’s capacity expanded to 3,000 sugarcane tons per day.

In 1981,
Thai Identity Factory with a capacity of 6,000 sugarcane tons per day was purchased.

In 1983,
Thai Identity Factory’s capacity expanded to 12,000 sugarcane tons per day.

In 1988,
Kaset Thai Factory with a capacity of 5,000 sugarcane tons per day was purchased.
Also, Ruampol Factory’s capacity expanded to 10,000 sugarcane tons per day.

In 1989,
Kaset Thai Factory relocated from Tha Rua Subdistrict, Tha Ma ka District, Kanchanaburi Province, to Nong Pho Subdistrict, Takhli District, Nakhon Sawan Province, in order to increase competitiveness in acquiring raw materials as well as to expand production capacity to 12,000 sugarcane tons per day.

In 1991,
Kaset Thai Factory’s capacity expanded to 18,000 sugarcane tons per day.
Also, Ruampol Factory’s capacity expanded to 15,000 tons per day.

Kaset Thai Factory’s capacity expanded to 30,000 tons per day.

Kaset Thai Factory’s capacity expanded to 45,000 sugarcane tons per day.

In 2003,
A factory producing bleached paper pulp from bagasse was established as Environment Pulp and Paper Co., Ltd.

In 2005,
A factory producing ethanol from molasses was established as EkaratPattana Co., Ltd.

In 2010,
Kaset Thai Factory’s capacity expanded to 48,000 tons per day.
Also, a power plant generated by biomass from bagasse was established.

In 2012,
Kaset Thai Factory’s capacity expanded to 50,000 tons per day.
Also, a re-organization of the shareholder structure to become a holding group with Kaset Thai Sugar Industry Co., Ltd., as the parent company was established.

In 2013,
Established Kaset Thai Bio Power Co., ltd.(KTBP) Biomass power plants(60MW) using of bagasse as a raw material to create electricity and steam.
Launched a Biogas plant project under authorize by Ekarat Pattana co.,ltd. (EPC)

In 2014,
Established Kaset Thai Bio Fertilizer Co.,Ltd. (KTBF), manufacture bio-fertilizer and soil conditioner which produce by the wasted of sugar production (Filter cake) and ethanol production (Vinasses water).

Established KTIS Research and Development Co.,Ltd. (KTRD), to support KTIS Group’s businesses and its growth aspiration.

In 2016,
Thaiekaluck Power Co., ltd. (TEP), Biomass power plants using of bagasse as a raw material to create electricity and steam.
Ruampol Bio Power Co., ltd. (RPBP), Biomass power plants using of bagasse as a raw material to create electricity and steam.

In 2017,
3 Biomass power plants using of bagasse (KTBP, TEP and RPBP), started operating at full capacity.
Ekarat Pattana Co.,ltd. (EPC), changed its name to KTIS Bio Ethanol Co.,ltd (KTBE).
Kaset Thai Bio Fertilizer Co.,Ltd. (KTBF), changed its name to KTIS Bio Fertilizer Co.,Ltd. (KTBF).

KTIS Bio Ethanol Company Limited (KTBE), a subsidiary of the Company to jointly invest with Global Green Chemical Public Company Limited in the project (Nakhonsawan Biocomplex : NBC)
Lopburi International Sugar Company Limited (LIS), changed its name to Environment Pulp and Packaging Co., Ltd. (EPAC).
Joint investment with Eurasia Light Industry Equipment Manufacturing Company Limited (EAMC), is under a joint invest entity named Environment Pulp and Packaging Company Limited (EPAC), a subsidiary of the Company which is a project company.
Lopburi Biopower Company Limited (LBP), changed its name to Environment Pulp and Straw Company Limited (EPAS).

In 2020,
KTIS Bio Ethanol Company Limited. was authorized by the department of Excise to use its alcohol in the production of sanitizing alcohol, and received the license to produce sanitizing alcohol from Thailand’s Food and Drug Administration. Therefore, the Company has launched the new product which is sanitizing alcohol in forms of liquid and gel. The new product was massively donated to many organizations and was sold to the public with the fair price in the crisis of Covid-19 pandemic.

In 2021,
GKBI which is a joint invested company between KTIS and CCG together with NatureWorks Asia Pacific Co., Ltd. entered into infrastructure and utility provider agreements for Nakhonsawan Bio Complex phase 2 (NBC Phase 2).

The senior executives from KTIS participated the foundation stone laying ceremony for the construction of Ingeo™️ PLA production site in Thailand at Nakhonsawan Biocomplex, with the participation of Nakhonsawan governor.

The study group from joint program of US Grain Council, Department of Energy Philippines and PPT group visited KTBE’s ethanol production process in order to study ethanol industry in Thailand.

KTIS’s representative has signed the memorandum of understanding with Evercomm the Singaporean sustainable technology exeprt and Bureau Veritas the certification organization, the purpose is to set up the pathway to Net Zero organization and create the business opportunity from carbon credit, with the participation of Thailand’s vice prime minister, minister of commerce and Singapore second minister of trade and industry .

KTIS Research and Development Co., Ltd. has completed the research and development for new sugarcane breeds to increase productivity and sweetness. It also applied for registration with Department of Agriculture for 5 species which are Ruamphol1, Ruamphol2, Kasetthai1, Kasetthai2 and Thai Eckaluck.

The board of directors resolved to approve the appointment of the committee in charge of sustainability by merging with the "Nomination and Remuneration Committee" and changed its name to the " Nomination, Remuneration and Sustainability Committee ", therefore, there would be sib-committee to oversee the group’s sustainability’s work.
